Description

Cross4Health – Unlocking collaboration among Aerospace, Energy, Biotechnology, ICT, and Medical Devices sectors to enhance patient-centred personalized care

Cross4Health project aims to unlock the collaborative potential of SMEs from Aerospace, Biotechnology, Energy, ICT, and Medical Devices (ABEIM) sectors. The main objective is to generate innovative solutions, business models, and workflows that enhance patient-centred personalized care for societal challenges in health. All these will be delivered through the new emerging industry value chains.

The main outcome of the project will be a portfolio of innovative services, processes, and products conceived in an intelligent ‘plug-in’ platform for ABEIM stakeholders by high performance crossover teams. This will increase the competitiveness of the SMEs, advancing the positioning of European countries in this new emerging market.

The Cross4Health vision is to work towards the osmosis of technologies, culture, teams, and businesses among the selected sectors, tearing down the blocking barriers to realize significant advances in Health, growth, and employment for new and/or improved products, services, and processes.

The project will select more than 70 innovative SMEs with cross sectoral collaborative ideas and accelerate them towards commercialization by providing them with financial and innovation services. The services will be fuelled by regional innovation clusters via monetary and non-monetary means.

Starting in October 2017, the project has a duration of 2,5 years and is supported by Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation.
